Good during Arena quests though if your class has it.
Not every monster sits still or plays around with your palico so you can sit back, relax, and slowly sip a mega potion.
I keep mixing those two potions up a lot because they nearly look identical.
Not saying Ancient Potions don't have a use. They can be valuable for speedruns, for example.
And I always use an ancient potion on a quest as I don't go for the suggestion of the chef in the canteen as I use custom foods to try and get the more usefull food buffs for my current build.
