Upgrades for your charms above Rarity 8. (Earplugs 4 or Handicraft 4 or Mushroomancer 3 or Critical Eye 4 or Guard 5 etc in a single slot? Yes please!)
Also access to Tempered Elder Dragon Investigations, which probably leads to the best drop rates for R12 Decorations.
And chests. Hairy hairy chests. Spending time in the Guiding Lands will grow chest hair faster than anything else, even a Gunlance. Fact!
If you want the juicy decos then you are going to have to farm tempered elders.
The guiding lands to me is mostly non-stop hunting once you've gotten your locations to the desired level.
It's for better reward ofc for better gear unlock like the gold rathian weapon tree plus better decos and not only that u need to grind in it in order to get the unique materials for augmentation
At the end of the day some form of RNG needs to be involved in the uber-endgame to have a reasonable playtime and I personally prefer the monsters I encounter being RNG, but getting enough materials off one hunt to be good for several weapons, than hunting the same Elder Dragons dozens of times for a chance to get a Streamstone that has a 1/7 chance to be for a weapon I actually use.
(Oh, and Silverlos/Goldthian in MHW:I are actually REALLY good fights IMO)
You need MR69 anyway. Which is... how even am i supposed to reach that, what am i expected to do, there is nothing to craft!
I feel the same way, Especially now that celestial prints can give you mantles and stuff that seem to not want to drop. Beat up a monster like 3 4 times, go to guiding lands with the gathering set, get a ton of fuel. Hold R2. Get new gear.
And since most of the armor has decoration slots that are either too few or too small. I spend most of my time going for gear that gives big slot skills so I can derp around with the level 4 crap.
But here's the thing, expeditions finally give you credit for stuff. That's a big change from the no faint limit but no money or exp that expeditions had.
