Wtf is wrong with purple monsters???
So I just finished the main story, got carted a few times here and there but overall it was super easy, killed xeno'jiiva and I got a quest about killing 2 purple bazelgeuses. It was pretty easy and I finished it in 18 minutes. After that I got 2 investigations about these purple monsters one was to hunt black diablos and the other for uragaan. I killed the normal black diablos pretty easily back then but this purple black diablos just 1 shotted me from 170 hp and 330 defence with a charge... And quest had 1 faint limit so I didn't even bothered trying again. Then I went to purple uragaan and same thing happened, he rolled and got me on the way back and boom 1 shot... Both of these were pretty easy when I fight the normal versions but this purple versions just 1 shot.

Am I underleveled for them, I'm hr40? Because this doesn't seem normal.

Those purple monsters are tempered. They do more damage and get flashbomb immunity after 3 pods.

Hunter Rank means nothing: It is only a measurement of how long a player has played.

Purple outlined monsters are "Tempered" monsters. They give special drops that are used to augment your equipment, allowing them to become even stronger.

Tempered monsters have random damage scaling, and can do so much as 200% more damage.

330 armor is also kinda low. You should easily be able to hit 400 at the point you're at.

Most people build sets at those points. So they have numerous armor sets to upgrade. I doubt somneone will have 3 full sets at 350+

I just build myself a good set with atk boost 7, weakness exploit 3, condition 3 etc... I'm also using a bow. Game was a breeze until I just got one shotted twice by these purple f cks.

He's right, you know? If you don't get hit, you don't die. Should be easy for you as a bow user.

Why am I even trying to ask a normal question in a place filled with troll morons... Ok bye kiddos.

No, he can stay, because he's right.

MH is all about learning attack areas, safe spots, and telegraph timings. The first 2/3 of the game gives you a fair amount of leeway to make mistakes. The last third is like the final exam. You need to have paid attention and studied: otherwise you're going to fail.

Another one here, those guys are right. You're at the point in the game where taking any hit will cause big issues, and so it gets to the point where it's better to actually learn to dodge everything than it is to improve your equipment to survive the hit. Partially because your equipment isn't going to be upgrading much further, if at all.

No the point I am making here is if you are a set building, you're likely gnna have more sets then you can possible upgrade by that time to 350+ If you are just HR 30, You should not have many money if you invested in a lot of gear to use. Alot of people do it this way,

I make sets for different type of mons, and msot of my defenses arnt +74 per peace in relation to the lack of hard armor spheres.
