Multiple Monsters at the same time is just redicoulus
Am i the only one who really gets annoyed when there are at least 2 monsters ganging up on you atduring whole quests? At first it was impressive to see monsters fight each other but after a while its just stupid. you either jump in and get destroyed if you get stunned by a random hit or you just watch them for minutes where they barely deal any dmg to each other. A simple tobi kadachi quest just took more than 30 minutes just cuz there was a deviljoh who followed us all the time and kept us from hunting the kadachi down. sadly nobody had dung so we just had to stand back and wait for a small window of time to press a little dmg.

Those encounters are okish if they happen from time to time but the frequency should be toned down a lot. And devciljoh shouldnt roam around every second time you enter any map.

I always make a habit of carrying dung pods for every hunt in MHW. In past games I only ever had dung bombs when doing G-rank quests, but now each map can have upto 3 monsters roaming. Even in expeditions you get like two minutes after killing a monster before another spawns to replace it. It is just something new you have to get used to.

I agree, lots of time am trying to fight some azure rath and Bazel with an accuracy of 100% shows up every time. Hell, him or jho

So yes it should be toned down a few levels, sometimes appearances are fine, but appearances spot on almost 100% takes the fun away when am fighting.

Now with that said, I think capcom wanted this to happen to give some use to the dung pods xd.

Increase encounter rates. I love fighting multiple monsters at the same time.

It's the reason dung bombs exists for this series.

THey dont need to toned down anything, flash bombs and dung bombs are your friend.

In Mp the game is easy... 10 min /15 min x monster with randoms

IF you dont have flash bombs /Dungs bombs/ Mega potions / traps you shouldnt be hunting anything in Mp

*insert clippy here* Did you mean "I love when there are more targets to hit"?

Seriously though, you said it yourself, the problem isn't the multiple monsters, it's "nobody had dung" and nobody was smart enough to go GET dung. Monsters in combat with each other are not in combat with you. You can warp back to camp, get dung, and return while they fight, and injure each other. Then when you come back, you dung the one you don't want dead... (hint, you want them ALL dead, every time, every time, or captured) ... and go to town on the other.

Annnd there's your problem. There's nothing stopping you or a party member going back to camp to get dung if you don't like fighting multiple monsters at once.

Even then though, this might just be me, but I love it when monsters start brawling with each other. Spectacle aside, if you learn to use it to your advantage it's a viable and fun way to hunt. Devilijo especially (and ESPECIALLY when fighting fanged wyverns like Tobi) can be used to great effect to deal massive damage to the monster in question. (same applies to Bazel, to a lesser extent)

As a sidenote, if you're struggling with dealing with a bunch of monsters at the same time, I recommend focusing on getting mounts off when monsters start brawling each other. It's generally a bit easier to do now that the monster's partially distracted, once you're mounted you're invincible to everything except status effects, and once the monster gets downed, you can put its wriggling body between you and the still-standing monster, to get free DPS in relative safety with a new pickle/pinecone-shaped helper to add to the damage.

And why exactly do you not always bring dung pods with you?

Position 1 of them in between you and the other monster.

It actually gives you extra dps if you do it right.

You can also toss a dung pod.

Why dont bring dung pods? Why dont go back to camp to get them? They literally made life easier for you in this game, yet you still cant do such things like going back to camp to take dung pods? How lazy can one get? You literally sat there and watched the monsters fight, then complain about monsters encountering and making you feel annoyed, rather than going to camp to get dung pods?

I doubt the person who started this thread know about the existence of Dung Pods. Can't call him lazy if he doesn't even know about dung pods.

You already stated your issue by saying no one brought dung pods. You know the potential threat of an invasion yet you didn't prepare for it. I will say one thing, I hate how invasions are handled in MHW. In the older games, they were occasional and either a pleasant or terrifying surprise. In MHW, it's literally every hunt and while I guess that is to be expected since there are multiple monsters roaming the map at all times; my main issue that it is always Bazelguese hunting you down. It's soooo annoying and the main reason MHW is only my 2nd favorite title in the series. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't happen so often with the same monster every time. I miss just being able to focus on the hunt with the single monster.

Half hour, no dung. Aint makin sense...
Seriously tho...if u would use the game mechanics offered to u for exactly those situations and then wonder why it doesnt work out like u imagined, maybe, just maybe u did something wrong and its not the game.

In 30 minutes u could have colleclted 50 times dung, went a 100 times back to camp and get some from storage or just alltogether slay the deviljho and then the kadachi.
