More often than not the discrepency is seconds off the timer, few minutes max. Beyond that it's the user, not the weapon.
Don't bother too much on that, and keep trying to get better with most weapon you can.
The GS is easy to use, but you can clearly see a good GS user from a bad one.
Keep in mind that now the GS is inflated af, since the new event you'll see all kind of GS player that have no clue how GS work at all :D
And about the difference in strength, the sword deals ~7% more damage than the next most powerful GS (Jho) without the need to spend any point in Handicraft to get to white sharpness or to use many skills to offset the negative affinity (one augment is enough). Even with ZERO optimization this sword will deal more damage than the Jagras Hacker right off the bat, and with only a Non-Elemental Boost deco also more than Anguish.
Again, unless you really like the aesthetics of another weapon - which was never the point of the thread or even your own first reply - there's no reason to not use Wyvern Ignition for anything that isn't elder dragons.
