How do I get tempered investigations?

I dont get any and have been wanting to do one for any monster for a while now. I don't know how to get them unless its earned by hunter rank or something, idk. The only one I've done was the two tempered bazelgeuse

So you just killed bazel. OK well there is 2 way.
1. Go to expedition, sometimes there will be tempered tracks.
2. Join people's SOS tempered investigation, as you killed the monster/breaking part or collect the track it will give you investigation.

I personally recommend the 2nd though, more reliable to get your own investigations. Track at expedition is not that much.

Two of the returning event quests have tons of tempered tracks

Tracking the delivery for stronger monsters
A simple task for weaker monsters

do the simple task from the event. the collect mushrooms thing. They put the whole map with all tempered tracks, so go get them before u collect the mushrooms required.

Do these and avoid actually completing them, the maps are devoid of any large monster and are filled instead with a ton of tempered tracks, so do a full loop around or look for a YT video of their location, gather all finish the quest, then repeat, simple task gives investigations for the strongest of the non elder dragon monsters while tracking gives only tempered elder dragon investigations which you can't even do yet, hower you could do it until you get a kirin or nergigante investigation, then save it for when you finally an do them and use 1~2 attemps to farm tracks both of those are very good at giving a ton of tracks.

Currently just go the 9* Event quest (Gather Shroomscap and Blue Beryl).
There are 2 right now, 1 in the Ancient Forest (this will gather Threat Lv 2 monsters investigations), 1 in the Elder Recess (this will get what you want).

One last recommendation.

If you get one for a tempered investigation for

Tobi kadashi, T1
Black diablos, T2
Nergiganti , T3 ( TED)

Keep one or two attempts.

These are the best for farming more if you are really short.
For T2 and T3

What you do is get your gihillie mantle. Now start the investigation and run around in areas away from where this monster spawns. Collect what ever you want for about 5 minutes.

Now go to where the monster is and pop on your mantle. Collect their tracks. They leave them in the same spot over and over so should be a bunch in a small area.

Then just do another collection loop

Go into the menu and select return from quest.

Remember

RETURN from quest .

Do not abandon.

about 10 minutes of this will get you 2-5 easily.

For T1 and T3 you can just follow a monster around

Tobi for T1 and Kirin for T3 make sure they are tempered.

There us a event right now its easy to farm tempered tracks which unlock the investigation.
