i cannot go back, it is a wifi 4 player game
but many things improved there is just a classic game, IE, mario
Yeah. I'm HR 52 in MHW. I love MHW so I tried MH1. MH1 is... interesting.
edit: of COURSE u edited it right afterwards xD
Sounds pretty tough. I tried fighting Rathalos in the tutorial. Nearly got one-shotted by him just like MHW, so I ran lol
Does that game have a lot of different monsters from MHW?
They are certainly improved. Even MHFU is way better than the first game.
But from MH3 onwards they improved enough to not be frustrating games.
In fact, I like 4U and XX more than World so it depends on the player if you are going to like them more or less than World.
As the series went on they did improve a lot of MH1's flaws, like the difficulty ramping up too early, many monster mechanics that were simply unfair, Plesioth's existence (though that one came and went), and so on.
A lot of veterans would agree that the third generation of Monster Hunter games onward is what one should look to if they're interested in older MH mechanics.
3 has underwater combat, 4 was the straightforward evolution of the series with underwater combat getting axed, and Generations was a gigantic celebration of MH history with the single largest monstercount in the main series, and also took the chance to experiment a bit with the Hunter Arts system.
The older MH games were still good in their own rights especially for the time, but, to put it diplomatically, the jank is real.
