Impact phial chargeblades are by far the most dominant type due to how Artillery and phial math works out making sharpness entirely irrelevant, with Artillery 3, Focus 3, Capacity boost, and a bit of attack(efr) you can spam out Super amped element discharges so fast and output so much damage that most tempered monsters don't last 2 minutes
That said Kjarr ice is so ridiculously over-tuned with elemental damage that it actually ends up better on ice weak monsters though power element builds entirely differently and somewhat values sharpness as a result.
(there's a monster hunter math video you can look up done by Jinx and Tuna to find better explanations but long story short Impact + artillery + cap boost is hella busted pre-iceborne)
For other builds including weapon choices https://mhwbuilds.net/charge-blade/ is nice site for builds. But yes Taroth Strongarm Horn and Diablo Tyrannis II is similar in terms of offensive power.
other than that, idk, look at the monster's weakness and plan accordingly. [shock!]
It was supposed to actually require skill and stop unga ultra spam but people can't stop using the same brainless unga with Artillery 5 in Iceborne, because 99% of CB players are brainlet troglodytes. Sad that this weapon got ruined in World because of Capcom trying to appeal to the western fans.
