I know they talked about a GUI overhaul so that may include 4 and 6.
I dont see 4 happening but I can see why people would like it
Didn't know that. I've tried to keep spoilers low so I only know very generalized things. Basically, all I know is that Iceborne has a new map, monsters and move sets.
Pretty sure it doesn't carry over to Astera, but yes Seliana has the Housekeeper sit outdoors. I'm pretty sure 2 actually isn't in Iceborne seeing as that was a pretty specific suggestion.
I'll give my two cents on some of the other stuff suggested here where I have some specific thoughts and provide some of my own:
I personally don't see why considering just placing everything closer together (like Seliana will be doing) will have identical if not better results.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this one has actually been confirmed for Iceborne.
As for my own suggestions, I'll give a few:
-An option to have notifications like "Tailrider Safari is finished" have some kind of small constant popup instead of a one-time notification when you enter the hub so you don't forget later
-Botanical Research notifying you when Soft Soil can be used at max efficiency so you know when to return to it
-A "Take Rewards and Repeat" option for Oven Roasting
-Changing Tailrider Safaris so the "Team Select" thing actually means something, because at endgame pretty much every single team will have all 3 stats maxed out anyway
Correct, the change Palico gear option will be right in the same menu our hunter's gear is in.
There is a way to do this actually: Sync up your Tailraiders with Soft Soil. Send out your cats, use soft soil and empty the box, then when Tailraiders return your remaining Soft Soil quest count will be at 4 and go up to max when you use it.
As for the monster notes, it would be good if they made it so quests that were spawning certain monsters would limit it to only those monsters. For weapons I have been filtering by tree lately, where I was doing rarity before. I find it's more helpful, especially since it puts crafted gear behind Kulve Taroth drops.
Thank goodness about #3.
It's really annoying to not be able to change Palico equips after taking a mission, but before leaving. (I play solo generally since I'm still not done with story yet) I usually do a bunch of getting my own equips & items ready in prep, then... oops forgot kitty stuff. Can't go in house at that point. If I've used a ticket thing then I can't really justify cancelling then retaking the quest. Not sure how much their equips even help mechanically, but you know... I love my hunting partner.
What I would love, and PLEASE for the sake of everything good and my sanity tell me if I can already, be able to sort all armors by category without going through and doing it 6 or 7 times for each type. Then going through each individual equip slot and sorting by rarity.
Then I just sort weapons by tree because it does auto sorts it by weapon types together first then also tree.
My gripe with basically all game changes devs make in every game (tabletop RPG's or videogame both), is that that they are done with munchkins who break the game in ways most people don't, and/or ultra-end-game-I-have-everything-and-it's-all-maxed players in mind. No matter what it does to average players. This thread is more QoL stuff, but I had to complain.
I actually already do this, but it's kind of a ghetto way of doing things especially considering that if you forget your Tailrider Safari is done then it'll get desynced easily.
Palico gear honestly doesn't matter that much. The most important thing is definitely the Gadget but it doesn't matter THAT much which you take because they're all very useful. The rest of the equipment is far less important, you could match everything up to the upcoming monster's element but the rewards really aren't great, especially when at least IMO taking Paralysis/Sleep weapons are far better for Palicoes than elemental ones.
Make sure to upgrade it and everything, but you really do not need to min-max it to the monster you're fighting, even if you're using a Palico Rally build.
