Vaal Hazak Gamma armor any good?
Just noticed the AT Vaal event quest is up and was wondering if the armor set is worth making.

I think the waist is supposed to be good for slots, otherwise it's pretty whatever. Could always go for the Death Stench layered, just to have it more than anything.

His arms iirc can be good for dragon elemental setups

If you want to make a peak performance build it's pretty good. The three piece set bonus means you have constant health recovery, and if you pair that with a health augment weapon then you'll basically always be topped up on hp and have peak performance going.

With lifesteal augmented weapons, your HP usually regain back to full without you noticing.

Good for easier healing thanks to faster health regeneration. Plus, it has several deco slots, better defense stats, dragon attack boost, and another attack boost if you can keep your health bar full.

The waist piece is good, the rest isnt.
It's a fun set, I'd say it's worth it just to flaunt it occasionally. Provided you're a good player you can rock anything, and AT Vaal is far from bad armour!

You'll definitely struggle to faint against anything that doesn't spit fire.

Vambraces are meta for dragon bow builds.

It's a decent way to build stuff like Dragon Attack or Recovery Up if you're interested in those skills, and the waist is pretty solid.

The main use for it though is to create gimmick invincibility builds thanks to that beautiful passive health regen. Not practical but if you want to turn your brain off during easy hunts even more than you already do, and don't mind the hunts being a good few minutes longer, it's a fun set to screw around with.

I built an HH set around it for dealing with Leshen and helping my group. Rather than trying to avoid taking a hit due to HH's slow windups and Leshens frequent AoEs this set is designed to take the hit and keep going. This is not a corner-horn set and intended to keep attacking Leshen while building up the healing song for when I don't have any emergency heals to make or song to replay.
