nah he's not dark fukt tier of cheapness, just that this boss hits pretty hard and has a weird pattern with big AOEs
I like the party games but the solo ones I think will always be my favorite (Ys O in particular).
It's not Kiergaard is it?
that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yea
Biggest issue I had with that f*ggot is that I went into the fight with literally no items whatsoever. Ended up just taking pot shots at him with Laxia till he eventually died.
Well to be fair its balanced around it too. There's some bosses that basically have no opening at all if you dont flash them. I felt it was a pretty lame mechanic at first as well, but it gets pretty cool later on.
Btw, there's a decent amount of solo fights in this game as well (mostly Dana solo).
As long as you use consumables then it doesn't matter which difficulty you play on.
Having 9 of each rez item (4 x 9 not including potions) + all the healing stuff just makes any difficulty a joke.
That said, items are heavily limited. Like...empty bottles are one time use. Tho for some reason fruits are still a thing. All consumable items and stuff require a lot more to make (and you get less for farming) on higher difficulties tho.
That's not ''no matter what you do'' youd have to grind pretty hard to have that many res items on nightmare or inferno. Isn't going to help all that much either, since bosses dont stop attacks when you die. You can potentially get killed right as you revive.
Plus, revive items are useless on solo fights. Only self-res equips work there. (and just once each).
I mean I'm all for no items Inferno, but then the boss and mob health would really need to drop hard. (and the slowdowns during heavy attacks fixed). Atleast the party balanced bosses~
Inferno allows full item use, but discards all bottles upon usage.
Not true. I'm currently no-hitting all of the inferno bosses and a lot of the time I ask myself if they're really supposed to have such little amount of hp? (based on past ys experience)
I literally 2 cycled Oceanus. Most boss fights don't last longer than 2 minutes. That being said, if you don't flash guard and look for openings instead then I can see boss fights taking much longer.
