That's a good thing right? :)

Re-visiting a zone won't feel as boring.

Why have a levelup system if enemies levelup with you? If they scale (which they do), it's just another action hack and slash.

I assume bosses don't scale?

Bought this for PS4 because it was cheap ($30CDN with art book and miniOST) and figured why not? I'd just be running it at 1080p 60fps on PC anyway, that's what it is on my Pro. And I love Ys!

Worst Ys game to date. I don't know what happened. Reminds me of FFXIII in ways, in the sense that there are a lot of mistakes they shouldn't have made because they know better.

If it is anything like Celceta you won't even notice. I don't believe it scales 1:1.

yeah, i do, but the enemies get more hp and put out more damage as well. but i have to say: there comes a point where you'll meet lots of enemies that are at a higher level. and they don't scale down, so you still get the feeling of leveling up for a purpose. and with the stronger weapons you get in the game, early enemies eventually get easier to defeat. it just takes a lot of time until this happens. but while i really hate systems like this in general, i think they did a great job in this game. leveling up matters, and still you can't overgrind the whole experience and meeting old enemies you still have to think and react properly.

It might not be a bad thing, I mean I look at the very first Ys game with the enemies you bump into, sometimes it's nice just to slaughter enemies in the forest like paper but sometimes I wish they would level up for a challenge because ot can get weird when you feel overpowered. Then again, some people like the feeling of being overpowered to where they say "I earned my way to be this powerful" which I get too.

In some other games like Phantasy star Online/Universe you could select a supperior difficulty so the challenge would still be there (and the loot will be better).

If the ennemies were one shoted it would be annoying to return to previous areas

They are scaled but not on 1:1 ratio, I play to end game but the damage on enemy deal in first area was about 3 time or more compare to beginning, but it's not much compare to characters stat, only thing that scale much to consider a threat is the dragon monsters, they already strong in first encounter, and still that strong in end game, not intern of HP though because I can kill them quickly but the damage they deal was still strong as ever, also was on nightmare

And the only thing that already strong and don't need scaling is the post game dungeon (you need to scale with them instead)

That's why I got it cheap when I saw I could. Despite its flaws I'll still beat it. Just not digging it is all.

Wait you mean this thing?

Why are you complaining? You get all those physical goodies. I just got the game with the artbook and miniOST.

You definitely still end up able to obliterate the low levle stuff, I ran though a level 25 area as level 70 and skills one shot everything, including what were once quite tough enemies to deal with...

So yes, theres some scaling, but its not elderscrolls...

I agree with what you say, and I don't like it how the enemies aren't even worth barely 1 exp point once you level up so high.
