Here's another thread with hundreds of people having the same PUBG voice chat issue!

Another fix if that one doesn't work:
Go to your steam folder wherever you install your games to
Steamapps\Common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\ThirdParty\Vivox
Delete everything in the Vivox folder, then right click your game in the steam library, go to
Properties, then the Local Files tab, then Verify Integrity and wait.
Hope this helps out a few people. Did not work for me. I even changed my modem settings to allow SIP/ALG through. still nothing

WHA-WHAAAT? How can they "not fix this right now"? WTF, it just appeared out of nowhere and I'm betting it affected EVERYONE playing today. Just amazed and confused how this issue suddenly appeared and how it took BH by surprise. This company has a great product but it is being severly hampered by their lack of vision, leadership and management at the top of this project.
For me it is the culprit, set it to always seem to fix it
I had a lot of trouble with the voice chat. First I thought the problem was my new wireless headset arctis 7 (2019) - well it was working fine, so:
Here's what needs to be done
1. Check the usual shortcut keys ctrl+t etc.
2. Check that your headset works in some other program (to verify it is not hardware error)
3. Assign your microphone as the windows communication device (win7, win 10 might have some other privacy settings)
-make sure that in microphone settings "no single program can take control over mic" or something similar
4. Check that your mic is working in steam. Open steam friends list, next to your avatar there is the settings "gear", and from there go to voice settings. Make sure the mic is working.
5. Open PUBG. go to sound settings, and make sure that the mic is working. (indicated by green meter bars). Speak to your mic, and you should see the bar moving!
6. If the bar doesn't move >
7. Open PUBG test server mode. Go to voice settings. Check if the mic is working and green bars are moving? For some reason, my mic wasn't recognized in the regular PUBG server, but after opening the game in TEST server mode, everything seems to work now.
8. Go back to PUBG - everything should work now.
If this does not help, you are in deep ----
