First question in the FAQ says Steam can play with windows store and xbone

There is cross platform. So you can play against many people just not in ranked. Getting tired of people making the same thread over and over. OMG no one is playing! OMG game is dead! Game is not dead because of cross play. MS barely did any kind of real advertising for steam version of KI. Hell, the beta to test how it would work on steam was even hidden from people on steam. You literally had to go on KI forums to help with the beta. MS did everything possibly wrong for the steam release, but its not dead.

Ranked is pretty dead, you will most likely end up playing the top 10 players on the leaderboard which is no fun. I have just been sticking to playing against the cpu

Funny. I just had a great series of fights with players labeled with an Xbox icon next to their name... So yeah... No cross play or activity I guess...
