I have thought a lot about it since I am also reading the criticism. On one hand I don't want to change anything about the shooting since it is what I would want, a semi-realistic shooting method more base in real-life, more like a simulation than a casual game. I understand that this is causing issues on some pc and mice but fortunately, it is more uncommon than common.
I tried to compensate it by introducing the alternative shooting, which was mainly meant for controller usage but also without a power-bar so it is fairer compared to other users.
On the other hand, I obviously want to satisfy the majority of the people so they can have fun but not have a competitive advantage.
I don't want people hosting specific game modes to force a specific play style on everyone joining and I don't want to make it optional to give players with a power-bar an advantage.
It is an easy addition to make but one I have to think about if and how to do it.
I have however a few ideas but I am not 100% sure if I want to go down that path.
Take care,
Jonas
Go to the Options and activate "Alternative Shoot (controller)" to have a distance based power control even when playing with mouse.
Does this power-meter be able to show on custom game modes?
