A little bit of Doom Eternal, a little bit of Ultrakill, a little bit of Diablo, a little bit of Nightmare Reaper, a little bit of janky, batsh*t craziness. It's got crazy nonsense guns for days, it's got Duke Nukem-grade pop culture references out the yingyang, it's got a unique boss, many with multiple phases, at the end of every single level, and each of them drops a unique weapon. You can shred an entire roomful of enemies in seconds if you're using your abilities well or die in the blink of an eye if you get complacent. You want this. Stop reading this review and buy it already. It's twenty bucks. You can't even get lunch for that anymore, and here you're getting 30 levels worth of ♥♥♥♥♥-up heavy metal mayhem.

Alright I bought this game like... 3-4 years ago because it looked weird and cool. It was both, but I didn't end up playing it much. Fast forward a few years and something recalled the game to me last month, but I couldn't remember what the hell it was called, and despite 30 mins digging through my owned games and the Steam Store... I couldn't find it.

And then, today, I saw news about an update. This thing got a whole new paint job, and look- it's straight underrated.

It's nigh-impossible to find in the store, as it's been in EA forever (solo dev, with some breaks between development). It is very cult with relatively few reviews, but make no mistake: this is a BALLER boomer shooter with elements of Borderlands, modern Doom, and Max Payne's bullet time. On top of that, there's a whole level of weird in the design and 'Powers' that really works.

I just started again, and I do believe the levels have been rebuilt from scratch in the interim. It's weird, wild, and fairly wonderful. Sweet Metal soundtrack, very chunky and satisfying gunplay, and really solid level design. Do yourself a favor and try this one out.

Devilated deserves to see the light of day- I hope the people find this one!

First time I purchased a game that was previously removed from my wish list cus it was a stinky. Fast forward a year or two and now seeing clear and creative updates. Sold. Will stay updated. Cheers!
