Guide to get infinite consumables, upgrade materials, etc.
hey everyone, thought id make a text guide on how to do a little glitch called negative quantity item duplication. I dug around online and could only find one good video on it so thought id make this.
1. So to start off you want to have access to either andre or the undead merchant in undead burg. You want to buy one of whatever the top weapon is from the npc. Make sure you have enough souls to buy 2 or more of this same item for the next step.
2. After doing this you want to perform a glitch called a prompt swap. You do this by hovering over any item that you can purchase multiple of at once and then hover your mouse over the weapons icon in the UI. Now quickly click on the icon and press select on your controller or (select input) on keyboard. If done correctly you will see a quantity buy option while having the weapon selected for purchase. Hit down to max the amount and hit yes to buy.
3. Now you have a weapon with a weight in the hundreds. Youll know if you did it right by equipping the weapon and your character should be slow walking. Unequip the weapon and do another prompt swap, this time go to your quit out menu and select quit game, DO NOT hit yes, hover your mouse over the inventory icon and now click the icon and hit select a split second later. If done correctly youll see the quit out menu over your inventory window.
4. Now go to whatever item you want to dupe (must be unequipped) via scrolling and clicking with the mouse. Select the item and click on drop item, it should bring up a quantity option, hit down on your controller and you should see a value of -99 or something similar. Select yes and now you have a stack of whatever item you chose. So now you know how to both dupe consumables and anything else you may need, ENJOY!

~If you want to repeat the glitch just go to whichever vendor you purchased the weapon from and select it in the vendors inventory but dont buy it, then exit the vendor and do a prompt swap like you did before. Reason why you have to retuen to the vendor is because everytime the weapons buy prompt comes up it store a negative value.

Sweet tits of lord Gwyn, format this wall of text.
Folks, you can save yourself eye bleed and google dupe glitch in remaster on YT and get better showcase of glitch.

And no, you do not need a controller

First off, there is literally only one video showcasing this glitch in a way thats easy to understand on YT that i could find in the span of 30 minutes of browsing. Secondly this is a completely different glitch from the basic prompt swap with arrows that everyone knows about already.

Thirdly? What was the second thing?

does it really matter? No. Also stop trying to correct me on something you probably hav no full grasp of. I'm not the kind of guy to call people out on hours played but it correlates with ingame experience pretty heavily when it comes to a game like Dark Souls. Now i dont know if you have prior experience on console or anything of that sort but i can tell you this much, ive got probably close to 2500 hours between console and PC in Dark souls alone, so i know what im talking about here. The glitch i was describing is relatively unknown in the community as far as i can tell otherwise we'd have people doing it day in day out. You calling me out on simple formatting tells me youve lost your point here so i'll just leave it at that. I get pretty sick of people trying to one-up others when they themselves dont know the info to begin with. Goodbye.
