Dota 2
Nortans Antivirus is saying my dota2.exe is a trojan
Updated dota today and nortans says its a virus. It deleted the exe and i check the integrity to get a new exe and it came back as the same trojan.

I got nortans to ignore the entire folder where dota 2 can be found and was able to get the exe back. Game is running fine no problems....yet. Hopefully dota 2 can fix the exe in the future so it wont come up as a trojan.

how did you fix it?
had this problem while reconnecting to game and now im in low priority..arghhh!!!! >.<
Just turn off your norton antivirus and run steam under administrator. then verify integrity of game cache
how do we make sure that this is indeed a false positive though? wait for a reply from symantec?
i just got it when i finished a game.... lol i thought one of the losers gave me the virus... blocked them... oops! = )
Well, I guess tonight is a TF2 night...

I couldn't make a false-positive report to Norton since it requires me to upload the suspected executable. How can I upload when Nrton deletes it. Or is it just moved to a "quarantine" directory?

You can go to security history, select the quarantined file, and then there should be a restore button on the right (along with the option to omit it from future scans)

This worked perfectly. Just restore file from quarantine and then exclude it from future checks. Done and dusted. Thank you for post.
