Can't update? Try deleting Appcache!

Turn steam off, go to your steam folder in Program Files and delete the 'appcache' folder.
Restart steam. Worked for me and my friends.

I tried relaunching Steam several times and it didn't work. Verified game cache, didn't work.

Deleted appcache, worked.
