Zeus' Ultimate - Your Opinions

I wasn't complaining about how I couldn't counter Zeus' Ulti - the game that motivated me to write this post actually had a (yeah and I abuse the word kinda) killstealing Zeus on my side. (late game he waited in the base and just casted his Ulti when the other 4 were team fighting, to get his K/D stat up.)
All your posts actually really led me to agree that Zeus is a weak hero overall...
His ultimate is the only ability which makes him worth playing IMO.
Thanks for bringing good arguments to keep his Ulti the way it is.

I think Zeus' Ulti isn't really well balanced. It's not crying about him getting multiple last hits on heroes - or just being annoying... It's more than that. I think compared to eg. Clockwerks Rocket Flares or Invokers Sun Strike his Ulti damage is way too high.

Invokers Sun Strike has an small AoE (175) and does max. 475 damage.
Clockwerks Rocket Flare has an insane AoE (575) and does max. 200 damage.
Now both of the attacks above have to be (sometimes pre-)aimed and compared to Zeus crazy Ulti they don't really shine:
Zeus hits all Heroes on the map and does max 475 (640 w/ Aghanim's) damage.

I think it should get a nerf, or another idea would be the following:
Thundergod's Wrath
Radius: Global
Damage: 225/350/475 (440/540/640) divided by Heroes alive at the moment.
Sight Radius: 1000
True Sight Radius: 900
Sight/True Sight Duration: 3

If you have Zeus in your team you're pretty much playing 4 v 5 teamfights since the zeus has to be out of the teamfight to be able to clean up the low-Hp opponents at the end.
Using ultimate this way whole game is stupid. In late game I used to use ultimate as soon as fight starts. If I had refresher, then double ultimate as soon as fight starts.

People who hold onto the ult for the last hit are the people that lose the game. Why save it for 1 hero when you can nuke all and if in a teamfight at 7% of their hp on top of that. He's not supposed to get the kills late game

Ever heared about magic resistance?Its a ultimate with a huge cd and zeus only purpose is to NUKE.If the damage would be split,it would be horrible.Lets say its level 2: 350:5=70.
70-25% resistance=52,5. That ult would be utter USELESS:

If the damage was divided it would be totally useless unless you already won the teamfight (aka only 1-2 enemy heroes alive)
And Zeus isn't really picked in competitive anyway, so I doubt a nerf coming (since dota is mostly balanced for 5n5 teams)

Even with 640 damage(fully farmed with scepter). 640:5=128 128-25%=96. Impressive.

An idea like that might make sense (after all, Skywrath's ulti splits the damage between targets in its AoE), however it would be the worst ulti in the game (by a long shot) if it still used those damages... it'd need to be at least doubled in order to be of any use.
And frankly, it's fine the way it is; there's really no reason to change it. His ulti may come in useful occasionally, but all things considered, Zeus is one of the worst heroes in the game.

Ultimate abilities are supposed to be amazingly awsome
Zues is well balanced bro. I think you just had a bad experience with him

Every hero has his weak points and their strong points
Zues strong point being is second ability and his ultimate but on the down side zues dies easily
Zues ulti is powerful in early game but as game becomes longer zues becomes more and more useless

You didnt count the magical resistance that every hero has which is above 15% so subtract the final damage by that

You didnt count the magical resistance that every hero has which is above 15% so subtract the final damage by that

I said maximum. Therefore not counting Magic Resistance (ie. if Magic Resistane was 0%).
The thing about Zeus is that if his team can keep him safe he can wreck you. You say he falls off late game, but his passive prevents that. He can still probably take out half the entire enemy teams hp in a teamfight unchecked in around 2 seconds. Late-game, that is. Once he hits 11, he will kill anyone caught out with his combo. I think it's fun to get a Blink as Zeus. Works.
Sigh.

Has nobody noticed that the damage is also divided by the amount of heroes alive at the time it's used? You can do more damage with his Lightning bolt.
