Uploading replays to youtube?
How do people upload their dota 2 replays to youtube? Is it using fraps or something else?

They'll use a video recorder, such as FRAPS (as you've said), and then run that through a video editor for their Youtube intro and such.

Some editors use various console commands and launch parameters to get a different camera angle in their replays for when they record using FRAPS, but you'll need to Google for that one.

Hmm thought they had a different software or something but fraps will do thanks :)

Any video recorder that will be able to record Dota works. If you have something else that can capture game footage that isn't FRAPS (Such as XSplit), that works too!

Just make sure you run it through video editing software so you can cut out the crap and have it compressed so you're not uploading GBs for one minute of footage.

No because the replay you download is not a video, it's some other type of file.
If it was a video, it would probably be at least 1 GB depending on the match lenght.
Instead it's just couple of MBs.

Maybe read the other posts before asking this?
