Please do notice that the warding spots' positions are slightly, just slightly different from dota1 in order to make it hidden in fog.
Please configure your UI so you can open the shopping tab easily. I used the '~' button to open shop menu. You can improve ur game by reducing ur shopping time. Open the shop menu, use the search box to find the items you want (e.g. bkb), shift+LMB to put the items needed locked on.
Please notice that by default, you can see both opponents' and allies' HP bar, each bar represents 250hp, for every 1000hp you can see the hpbar separators are slightly bolder.
Please adjust the game's screen ratio in regard with your PC monitor's screen ratio. If both are matched, you will see thumbnails of the 10 heroes used in game. The green square in each ally hero represents the availability of ultimate skill. Green = available, Blue = available but not enough mana, Black = unavailable (not yet taken or still on CD).
