Also many items, upgrades and characters require real money to purchase. I never purchased any, however.

100% free to play, no hero purchase required as in other MOBA games, you can support the game by buying fashion, pets ( curriers ) or tickets for a championship game, you don't spend any real money on hero enchantments or such

No. The game is free, and so are all 100+ heroes. The only things you buy are the enhancements; announcers, couriers, wards, HUD skins, character equipment, etc.
Nothing that you have to buy in this game actually affects gameplay; it's all just vanity stuff.

download it and find out yourself. All Heroes unlocked and no ingame enhancements that give you an edge.

all of the microtransactions are cosmetic. There's no way to buy an advantage. You can also earn random cosmetic items for free just by playing the game.
