How do you lock the camera on your hero?

Hey, I just recently started playing Dota 2. Like a lot of others, I used to play League of Legends. In LoL, there was a hotkey you could press to make the camera constantly lock onto your champion, so they would always be in the center of your screen and you wouldn't miss anything. I got used to playing on fixed-camera mode, and am having difficulty trying to adjust. I've scanned the settings menus, and didn't find anything similar to this at all. It was a really convenient feature in LoL, and not having it makes it tough for me to want to keep playing.

Is there a similiar option like this in Dota 2? There's always the possibility that I missed it in the settings menu, but I did look through it pretty thoroughly. Thanks in advance for your help.

On settings > Unit action > "Select Hero" > set it to "Space bar" and its double tap space bar to go back onto your hero

or just double click on the portrait. towards the bottom left, although its touchy.

There are quite a lot people have serious camera control issues when they start playing a game like dota, starcraft, etc. Some people I played Dota2 and LoL with couldn't keep it steady without using the spacebar trick for a long time.

i use camera lock most of the time, i dont have problems with using global ults..

So just to be sure, there isn't any way to toggle the camera from sticking on your hero? That's a bummer. You need it more in this game than in LoL because everything seems to move much faster in Dota, especially for someone like me who has no idea what anything is. I honestly don't know if I can play this game without the option of camera lock. :(

Camera lock would be next to useless in Dota, because the field of vision you're given by the screen is so small. I honestly can't imagine how anyone is capable of playing that way.

Go into console and type

bind <Key> dota_camera_lock "1"
bind <Key> dota_camera_lock "0"

This will allow you to bind two keys one to lock it and one to unlock it. They have to be seperate keys.
