Finding a match always this slow?

Just trying to complete the Training section and the 'finding a match' for the last step nevers seems to find anyone or takes 5 minutes+
Is this normal? Is the whole game matching the same?
I prefer DOTA2 to LoL but at least in LoL I never wait more then 1 minute to get a match.
Appreciate hearing from other people and what they have found

My usual waiting time is around 4 min on US East - West

alot of people just pick the 'all pick' option for matchmaking so the ques are really long, i cant remember what the tutorial match is, but if its the same you will have a long que.

for future reference check multiple game modes (2 or 3) for faster ques, can be more fun aswell =]

Queue time gets faster as you play more matches in the normal queue. It's usually around 3-4minutes, but it has been getting faster recently.

I think depends on your region, in SEA and Japan finding of match takes only 2 and 1 minute.
