Dota 2 "No steam logon" error fix

I recently had the "no steam logon" error which forced me to abandon 2 games and go into lpq -_-
anyways i did some searching and found that many people had this problem.
the way i fixed it was to go to dota 2, options, game, network and set network quality to low.

try this then
exit steam, then create a shortcut for it on your desktop if you haven't already. then at the end of the target add -tcp. this worked for some people apparantly

tried all the above none work for me and trying to verify game cache doesn't work as after 8 hours of running it, it still doesn't reach 1%

same here. and btw all those silly solutions wont work at all. it is valve who should fix this since i had never any problems with dota at all until the last patch, so they know what to do. VALVE FIX THIS PLS!

In my experience this is caused by either you antivirus or firewall. you need to create exceptions for both steam AND dota in BOTH firewall and antivirus.

Valve knows about this and they have their own trouble shooter for it (had you searched).

I would also add that a I noticed that a recent AVG update started giving me this sort of trouble (I've never had this problem before). and creating exceptions sorted it.

Same issue.
2 games in a row, I get disconnected every 2 minutes, NO STEAM LOGON. Had 1200 games and no abandon, just made my first 2, urged by my team. I uninstalled the game, not coming back to it. gj valve

It isn't the patch (or well it may be), it isn't people's firewall nor is it antivirus. I've been perfectly fine up until 30mins ago where it happened for the first time. (Played about 10/15 matches since yesterday's patch)

@TychoNewtonius, buddy what are you talking about??? What Anti- Virus? I made no changes on my pc and dota always worked fine until the last patch. Since then I am getting this error no matter if I create a lobby or play a normal match. I dont even HAVE an Anti- Virus program so please if you dont know just dont write.
