Hello! right now I only play death prophet and want to have experience with more heroes so I can accomodate to different strategies and play with a team (etc.). Any suggestions for an ok player like me?

Ok personally, hears my intake on this, not to be a person who writes unhelpful info, just play heros untill u get one that u get at first try, or really like, and keep practicing with em, and no heros are like death prophet, but would recon lina

Keeper of The Light (KoTL) I guess.
KotL is a pusher with AoE damage like DP, but not nearly as tanky. You would have to position yourself more carefully if you play him.

There's Lina who has quick spammable AoE spells. She also has a stun, which is an alternative to DP's Silence.

I can't really think of any others with the same role and types of spells.

Too much of a support for me, and my friend usually plays KoTL and plays support for my DP.

Thanks for the info/thoughts, I'll go try Lina and play a bit in the Least Played Character gamemode w/ valve's builds to see if I find a new character.

ok, death prophet is a teamfighter and pusher that can be quite tanky, pugna fits teamfight+pusher but is squishy, however this can be overcome via decripify, life drain and positioning, leshrac could also fit a similar role to pugna
if you want other tanky int pushers, try necro or leshrac

Alright, these 3 seem to really cater to my playstyle, (especially Leshrac w/ lightning storm and his AoE ult)

Are there any other heroes with great nukes like Lina (and DP) and/or AoE/long-lasting Ults like Leshrac (and DP)?

You can always just filter out fitting heroes with ranged+nuker/pusher/durable tags, look at their skills and then try out the ones which sound interesting with bots for 10-15 minutes.

where exactly can I see a list with so many filters? most places let me do one of those, and it doesnt end up being very useful

Venomancer.

You can deal with heroes early on the game and if they try to run they'll most likely die from the poison damage. If you want to kill heroes as much as possible, skip wards. Just go for the two first skills.

If you want damage, get phase boots, otherwise you just have to get the normal ones and boost your int. So you can throw more spells.

You can go for the Aghanim scepter after that boots and this will give you either more HP or more SP depending on what you take first. I get SP as my skills are the most important ones.

Or you can get cloaking blade, so that you can pop your ulti in the middle of the group.

You'll get more assist than anyone else but it's often your ability that will make your team win the team fights. Specially your ulti.

Worst opponent? Juggernaut honestly, he can heal himself and dangerous at close range.
