DotA 2 Offline Mode

I rate Valve should hook up an offline mode for DotA 2 for the sole purpose of LAN's.

The game is not released yet. They need to address bugs etc. while players play online.
I agree with you once they fully release the game though

True but they address bugs and stuff with updates when we are online

There are gonna be lan games, yeah, but you'll still have to be online in steam for the battlepoints etc

when ur at a lan its not about battle points, its about lanning dota 2 like you would dota 1, thats what im trying to get at

probably not gonna happen - first of all you'd need to go online into steam to even get dota 2 to run.

yes i know that but im saying if they make an offline mode u dnt need to be online to play dota

they said they will include a proper offline / LAN mode after the game is released

Now that we can play with bots localy, they should allow people to just launch listen server/lan mode, without any matchmaking points.
This is a really important question as lots of players leave outside of Europe/US and can't have below 300 ms ping. We'd like to have the possibility to create our own server just to be able to play on LAN or online localy.
