Why does everyone uses Drow Ranger?

what do you think of saying when you see a Drow Ranger twice or third in a row?

If you know Drow, she isnt hard to counter really. Her only real advantage comes late game when she has the agi + blade to back her up, and usually only nabs a kill solo when she pops stealth that way.

In team fights, nuke her first, shes the flashy one going for your squishies.

The reason she is picked is because she snowballs quite easily. And she is pretty good in lane. But decent harrass and a few early ganks can solve that problem. Remeber too that she has NO escapes, so its an easy kill if executed properly.

Noobs heard that she is OP, so they pick her in hope for easy kills.


I'd like to see her in enemy team, since she is so easy to kill and outlane.

I say YIPEEEE another easy win because drow is a terrible hero.

1. Man up and fight her, dont turn and run when she hits you with 1 frost arrow.

3. When she finally gets a 20 minute lothars, buy a dust

3: High damage.
4: Still get decently powerful later on with little stuff and still useful in team fights.
5: Played correctly and she will be very powerful.

If people are killing her easily it just means the user playing her is not playing her that well. Or they team up on her with like 2 or more people. Which is when most heroes dies quite quickly.

1: Yea because popping BKB against Frost arrow is such a good idea all the time and it will only last you so long. During this time Drow can just move back and then head back into the fight leaving you with few ways to defend yourself. So either you try to hunt her while others focus on you or you focus on the other people while she stays on distance. BKB isn't the answer to everything.

2: Not everyone gets BKB against Drow in fact few heroes just get it unless they are a fighter that needs it. Mostly they get it when the enemy have several nukers on the team. But at the point it's often too late.

3: IF you can get close to her and IF she heads directly into the mess of a team fight. She will stay on the outskirts of the fight and silence people while firing frost arrows at them. You'll be worrying more about heroes closer to you.

4: Silence and Frost arrows begs to differ. Void in a team fight might mean he gets one hero or lock everyone and including his team down. Often he messes things up or pops his ulti with no warning locking friendly heroes down in the process. Generally leaving others to escape.
Medusa does a decent job but she has low health off 855 on level 15 which is less than Drow. She does have mana shield but nuke her and she's gone. Or just get Juggernaut on her and I doubt she will live long.

Spectre isn't exactly all that impressive. She is a hero that does more damage if she's alone. So in a teamfight she lose a lot of strength. Hell, if you bring a melee fighter against her he will not take damage of the aura and it's still only 22% of the damage.
Maybe you're talking about Vengeful Spirit that can switch place with someone. But Spectre isn't all that good.
Gyrocopter is somewhat ok but I haven't seen him being an team ender. Possible when coupled with Bloodseeker for that huge damage bonus while using flak. Gyros ulti is also easy to avoid.

5: Silenced and Frost arrowed deals with a lot of heroes well enough to make her a threat. She pulls out like 150+ damage quite quickly if gotten the right items and with slow + silence that is not gonna make you last a long time. You're unable to run away unless you got Force staff. Blink Dagger won't save you as it has a cool down upon being hit. So if you've hit the enemy when he has blink dagger it's not gonna do you any good.
Oh and add in Shadow blade with 150+ damage and then throw in a Critical blade. It'll hurt alright. That's her doing like 300 damage on hit and will get in a few more hits before you can do much about it.



Acting like she does nothing in a team fight is kinda silly when she has the highest normal damage and shut down ability among most heroes is kinda silly.
