If there are creeps that hits the tower it will target them first.
This is a lie. Creeps hit the tower, tower attacks creeps. I hit tower, tower kills that one keep it was targeting, attacks me. Even though there could be 900 creeps around it, tower attacks me.
If creeps attack tower with NO ENEMY CREEPS, the tower will focus creeps.
If creeps attack enemy creeps under tower and YOU ARE STILL attacking enemy tower, it will shift focus to you.
Zefar said this and it is not a lie :P
If you are Bane (ranged) and you attack the tower, which is attacked by melee creeps,it will target creeps, because they are closer to the tower
If you are Lycan (melee) and you attack tower, which is attacked by melee creeps,it will target you, because you are stronger, than creeps
How to deal with this - just run back a little when a creep dies,so tower won't target you.
Tower aggro explained with a video.
It is a lie.
Creeps hit turret, turret targets them. I hit Turret, turret targets me, EVEN if there are my creeps hitting it. ...., wait what's that? What about the Enemy Creeps you say? Oh well they are NO WHERE TO BE SEEN YET!
I am going to stop responding because you are wrong, the advice we have given is right and I'm not wasting anymore time on this thread.
What you say is right, if the creeps are there attacking other creeps. What I'm saying is that the moment a turret kills a creep and those creeps are still hitting on it along with me, it shifts to me.
But I guess this is why the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is still in 'beta'. And how the ♥♥♥♥ is it a "well known" fact? Last I checked you had to go look everything up about this game as it teaches you nothing.
1.Closest enemy unit or hero attacking a friendly hero with auto attack
2.Closest enemy unit or hero attacking the tower itself with auto attack
3.Closest enemy unit or hero attacking any friendly unit with auto attack
4.Closest enemy unit
5.Closest enemy hero
6.Closest enemy catapult
Hope this helps.
1.) If you're going to tower dive for a kill, don't attack the tower and the creeps will insulate you from fire until they're all dead.
2.) If you're going to attack it, be further away from the tower than it's current nearest target. If you're melee, this is difficult, but as a ranged hero you can often outrange the ranged creep, making you the last one to be targeted.
3.) (IMPORTANT) If you are targeted, you can "throw" off the aggro by right-clicking a friendly creep that is also in tower range. The tower will then reassess it's target; if you're still closest, it'll still attack you, so you generally want to back up a little bit until there's something closer, right click your friendly creep, and then enjoy your aggro-free life.
Not knowing how to throw aggro is what makes new players very frustrated with towers. The reality is, as random and unfair as tower attacks seem to be at first, they are actually quite predictable and it doesn't take too much time and experience to learn how to attack towers or dive heroes while taking minimal damage yourself if you learn how to predict tower aggro and throw it when it reaches you.
