Why does Abyssal Blade go through Black King Bar?

Abyssal Blade is an item effect, like dagon/sheep/ force staff....etc.
then why can it go through BKB?
i was in a game using invoker, i got BKB, Unforunately, the Riki got Abyssal Blade, he blinks in to me, i instantly use BKB, i still got stunned and killed
is it like a BUG? anyone?

Bkb gives you magic immunity, like Omniknight's repel. However you still take melee or ranged damage

The ability, both active and passive are physical "damage" while dagon, sheep, and force staff, and most items are magical.

It's an item that acts similarly to certain spells in which the disable goes through and damage does not (It doesn't do damage in the first place, but same idea)

Items that go through bkb include: Abyssal, Battlefury, Skadi, Orb of Venom, Medallion (active), and Shiva's guard (passive), Viel of Discord (active).
