Does reports have any effect in the new system?
Hello, I report people when they are toxic (usage of rude words, blaming or just writing/talking in russian ignoring that the team cant speak it). The new report system said, that we can see if action where taken. While I reported a few people, I don't see any actions taken. Can it be, that this system is fake?

Not enough to be reported, probably. When I open my list, people are getting what they deserved, wish it worked for you.

After you have reported players many times for no reasons the effect of your reports goes down to zero.

Yes and what decides if there was a reason? Pure random chance.

Say you have 3 ruiners in your team. You report all 3. You are the only one to report them just cause some other person just doesnt use reports. Your reports are now worth much less and they go unpunished. And probably you got reported by all 3, cause if they ruin game they also abuse reports - so instead you lose behavior score.

Great system

I guess i am in the minority that i use the reports for exact the reasons they give. I report when:
- people are toxic which i depend on rude words to anyone in team or against enemy team
- talking in a language beyond german after i ask polite to talk in english so i can understand
- players queing gor role and then play another one. For example i play pos 4 and pos 5 is going offlane an forces me to leave to not leave the team down.

I never report ppl when they just play bad. Its a game and we all have to learn more or less.

I wonder too how this affects the players reported, lately I been getting a lot of griefers and toxic chat and I see action being taken against the, but is it putting them in low pool or affecting their score or what? Or by how many points? I literally had 9 griefers taken action in 1 day yesterday. It was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bananas the amount of toxic players I have encountered and hope the behavior score is keeping them out of my games but it surely isn't.

Dota2 community is a self-organizing society that sets the social standards on the go. You are treated as an "outsider" if you accumulate too much reports. Too many means significant more than the mean, usual, standard Dota2 player. Once the players report each other too much there is no discrimination anymore. The player that is reported quite often becomes the standard and the instrument of reporting loses any influence. Dota2 reached that stadium. Punishments lose their social cleanup effect if they become the standard. A new definition of "outsider" has established.
