No reason to return to game after getting abandon.

Your computer crashes, you reboot it and then you need to reset your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ router because it didn't like that sudden change. Just over 6 or 7 mins later you're back in Dota 2 and you have an abandon, your top networth is gone. You have to assume your team paused but got unpaused each time by a toxic enemy team.

There is zero incentive to stay, you've already lost. This is bad design. It's the morally right thing to do you say? What if your team didn't pause and let the abandon happen out of apathy?

I believe if you help your team win in a game you have already abandoned you should get a loss prevented and your abandon removed, this can possibly be tracked over a genuine abandon by comparing kill participation or networth from the return point onwards to the scores from the abandon duration.

exactly. Dota2 is so insensitive but also too aggressive with their punishments. getting banned for a day just bcoz of 1 match, it's just ridiculous

your pc hardwares are outdated while dota keep getting updates, all u need is upgrade your pc unless you want to play toilet gaming phone with mobile games

too many people play dota when they don't have basic internet connection (a simple 5v5 game and always people disconnecting yet you can play 64 player FPS shooters and not see people DCing) and even have basic hardware to run it.
this is the problem with Dota being free to play, put ranked behind a paywall.

Same thing happens in LoL, had a match where I disconnected because network issue, came back TEN minutes later... WE STILL WON and I helped turn 2 teamfights into our favor for a push.

I still got a penalty.
