Poor performance on ryzen 5 3400g with 1060 6gb graphics

Tried to play on fully low settings and still the fps is just around 70 to 100 and drops till 30 sometimes. Anyone facing the same? Is my PC screwed or valve are just not optimising the game anymore?

if it has so much variation, try a different game and see if you can replicate the results. I have a more powerful pc.. but i use it at stable 60 fps, which I prefer personally.
also, if possible, get a SSD, atleast 1000 mbps transfer rate. Oh and check if there are thermal issues on your pc.

I do have a SSD and i have 16 gigs of Ram, other games run smooth. CS 2 runs around 150, Valorant around 180 to 230 easy. Dota used to run smoothly before but seems to have got worse after the updates

Try to use Vulkan instead of DirectX, if that is the case.

I was facing the same with gtx 960 and ryzen 7 5700x. Disabling reflex gave me a +40fps boost, but still it was dipping to 40s when torrent storm was on the screen for example. Now i have 4060ti and fps is great. Do what you want with this information.

I did disable the reflex but still no use

Here are some steps to clean up your pc;

- Use adware cleaner to remove any malware.
- Use clean up your harddrives and then use optimization.
- Use mbar anti root kit to remove any trojans.
- Remove any crapy background programs you got.

After all that is done, restart your pc. You should see a noticable difirence in loading and working of your pc. This should also speed up your pc and overall make it more enjoyable for gaming.
