Bloodstone of the Precursor

Has anyone added this to a socketed item? All it seemed to do was change the text of the item to red and add "Ascendent" before the title. I was hoping it was going to add some sort of an effect to the weapon but I was wondering if anyone had some sort of different results?

yep, same story.. and to take out the gem you need one of those hammers. just another way for steam to make money. they dont even have the decency to put some sort of effect on it, quite a let down. at least i made space in my inventory and i dont have to look at that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bloodstone anymore.

Which is understandable, I've never minded microtransactions/cosmetic stuff since they're optional but they should at least give a gem a particle effect as advertised or at least let you preview what the game will do before adding it to a socket.

absolutely agreed. i put i t into a courier to make it even more fancy but now i cant get it out, cant sell it anymore and the steamsupport wont tell me how to get it back out again. i even bought one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hammers but they dont work on my navi weaselcrow

They gave you Dota 2 for free, They ask for $1 for the ability to put a gem in your item, Seriously appreciate the fact you get the game free, microtransactions are an option no one is forcing this on you. Stahp Complaining!

You need an Unusual Artificer's Hammer. But the courier will be destroyed and you only recieve gems back...

@OP, where is written that bloodstone is adding any effect????? i dont get your problem, as you said, it adds an "ascendent" before the title and changes the textcolor, period.
The sense behind this all is exactly what you mentioned, it should be YOUR PERSONAL ITEM and dont forget, it gets UNTRADEABLE in any way!!!! You have an item thats something special for you, thats the idea behind the precursor stone and it was a gift from volvo ;o))))))

i know that but im not going to destroy the courier =D my problem is that there is no way to get out the bloodstone and save the courier. even the steamsupport cant help me ! what is this ♥♥♥♥

I'm pretty upset that it took away my blades ability to upgrade it's name based on kills AND replaced it with gift tracking?!?! give me a flippin break here. Oh and taking it out downgrades the blade to a flippin rare with no kill tracking...again wtf mate!
