dota 2 backup files needed PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to download dota 2 for 7 times now but whenever i pause the download (when i go to sleep or any other job) it resets to 0%.Once it was almost 99% and my connection timed out. Reset to 0 again. i'm very frustated now and no longer trust steamclient for the download.somebody can you please upload your backup files of dota 2. PLEASE !!!!!!

TheKnightsWhoSayNi i cant keep my pc open for straight hours due to some reasons but thats not the question. The question is can somebody please help a fellow gamer with his game. somebody PLEASE!!

No one will upload thier files because it can just be downloaded easily enough. And it keeps restarting becasue if you pause or stop it, and they release a patch/update, it will reset the download to 0%. It does this in TF2 as well.

if you find a backup please tell me too, same problem here but due to slow internet, i was at 3.1 gb then a new patch and 0% again. so if you please find a new backup or any backup for that matter (which does not make me download more than a GB of data) please do tell. i think there are a lot of people with this problem but as we all are trying to download something that is free i don't think steam cares about us :(

over 600k people play this game that means over 600k people have downloaded the game.
If you can't download more than 1 GB in 2014 then it is your problem. Besides i highly doubt uploading the game is legal...

i can download the more than 1 gb it's that the speed is not that great (256 kilobits/sec),
please do understand it is my problem but if people can help that would be nice, plus i already own the game(it's free anyway) i only need the backup files because the steam client restarts the download if a new patch is released midway of my download, which becomes really frustrating. also i am trying to download the whole game( around 4.7 gb's) which will take more than 48 hours of uninterrupted downloading, if steam releases a single patch during that time my download will restart from zero. so if anyone can please upload there backup please, it would really help me and a lot of other folks who might have similar problems.
tried with steam support but they did not even reply :( i gues we are not what would be called priority customers.

When you download part of the game go into your steamapps folder and find dota and copy paste whatever it has downloaded.

I have my steam throttle limited to 128Kb and i just downloaded the test client last night while i was sleeping (4.7Gb). How does it take 48 Hours to download at 256Kb?

Edit: Ok, so i set my limit to 128 but Steam likes to ignore that sometimes so it did shoot up to around 235Kb at Max in the middle of the night (still limited to 128Kb though).

steam client works at kilobytes/sec mine was kilobits/sec so in kilobytes/sec it would be 256/8 = 32 kilobytes/sec, so you can see it will take around 4 times the time it took you to download the game. see the problem in india is you either get speed or unlimited data, you don't get both, i have unlimited data because that's much better than having your internet getting capped at 5 GB's every month. so my problem is i have data but the speed is slow hence if i get disrupted in between it might restart, or if steam releases a new patch for the game, however small, the download restarts.

tried that a lot of times but still does not work. because i am downloading the game again but not updating it. so please if any of you can help please do. otherwise i will have to say this game goodbye until i can find someone who can help me.

I guess wait 2-3 days (they just released a whole new big update so hotfixes are imminent) till things and servers settle down then give it a go. I recommend adding someone that plays Dota every day so they can tell you when the game updates. Also am not sure but i think they post on twitter/facebook when they plan a new update. Correct me if am wrong, i don't particularly enjoy these network sites.

How you want play online games with 256Kb internet speed ? This speed is from middle age, get for your self better and faster connection. Otherwise you won't enojoy the game and probably you'll lag and disconnecting 100 times in one game. No fun for you and for team mates too.
