PC Shuts down while playing dota 2 (Solution)

DId your computer shutdown while playing dota 2?
You have other heavy games that doesnt have the same problem as dota's?
Others are saying that your PSU/GPU is low and you need to upgrade it, some say that you need upgrade your heatsink..

Check your heatsink if its over heating or not, if not:
The main cause of this is the files youve downloaded is corrupt or missing, that causes the computer to automaticaly shut down.
I did have the same problem before & i have solved it myslelf..

There are 2(two) options for this..

Option1:
Copy dota2 files on another computer(of course the working ones)
it is located on Steam, steamapp>common>dota 2 beta, copy all the files there and put it on your computer where the game is.. And try to run the program.

Option2:
Delete dota2 files on your steam then download it again, make sure your internet is not bumpy to avoid downloading unfinished files.. And try to run the program,

This is my solution, comment for feedback.. This is much i can help..

Try to download MSI Burner or furmark and try to benchmark your system. If you read 85C degrees, you should adjust your clockspeeds and/or speed up the fan of the GPU. Your problem seems to be GPU overheat or PSU underpower. Before you do all these, please follow the steps:

You cannot copy and paste it on your desktop. you should copy from a different computer, someone you know who has dota 2. You can delete it by right clicking dota 2 on steam libraries then click delete local files.

The Best way to get rid of this ♥♥♥♥....

1)Click reinstall and wait for it to verify the files and so on.
2)Allow the verification to complete.
3)Once it starts to DOWNLOAD exit steam and shutdown your pc.
4)Then turn it back on and click Dota 2.
5)It will start updating instead of reinstalling.
6)Then it gets back to normal.

If it dose'nt work get back to me....

Did you figure out why your PC suddenly shuts down? hardware? software?

u probably have to check your GPU.

I replaced my power supply. It was a corsair hx850 which was expensive 7 years ago but it is 7 years... put a new one in and hasn't crashed yet.

I have a VAIO laptop and I had this problem about 2 months ago. I took 3 steps to fix it:

1. Uninstall dota
2. Go to Steam folder under C:\Program Files and delete all dota files
3. Install dota again.

The bad news is that the problem came back this last Friday after the update. What is weird is that I have been playing 2 months non-stop for about 2h per day. Anyway, I updated all my drivers using drivereasy and I am in the process of installing the game again.

I just figured out I have this problem. Follow this instruction but didn't work

Play Apex for 6 hours, Total War 3 Kingdoms for 3 hours. No problems.
Dota 2 for 45 mins and instant shutoff

Spec:
CPU: i7-8700k
GPU: GTX-1060
Power supply: 550W (recommended)
Cooler master

Go to steam menu, right click dota 2, click properties and under LOCAL FILES just click VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES. It worked for me.

Try this 1st before reinstalling the game.

If u are talking about instant shut off, then it 3 possibilities:
1- Operating system fault.
2- Overheating.
3- Faulty RAM.

Check all.
Reinstalling/changing files has effect, but i count it under OS.

can not be friends, I have other heavy games like the distant 5 the reassuring creed and it does not erase something from the game that affects my PC

I am experiencing the same issue right after the update. now i uninstalled steam and dota 2 and will try reisntal and let us see if it still crashes. my issue is, it goes to screen safe mode right after i open dota 2. I have been playing with no issues for the past several months not until the latest updates. I am losing hope with all the SD i am getting. HELP!!!
