Brewmaster sucks, why do people play him?

That ulti is some crap ♥♥♥♥, you're meant to control 3 different guys and they have different abilities you're meant to learn, yet you only see them like 30 seconds each time you ulti and you can get confused in a teamfight. Took me 950 hours to finally give this guy a go, and no wonder I have avoided him for so long, must have had a hunch he'd be so crap.

Needs micro, but he doesn't suck, just more difficult to play. All three are magic immune as well, which can make him very difficult to kill in the right hands, not to mention they each have an ability...

Where does micro even come into it?
You hold Ctrl and click the person you want dead. Their carry trying to kill your spirits? Press Tab until it's blue, and cyclone. Are they running? Tab till green, boulder.

His ultimate only has 4 abilitys that you need to activate youself. A stun on Earth. A purge, mini euls sceptre and invisibilty on Storm. Thats it (without aghanims), thats not that hard to learn even if you suck at micro. Plus Drunken Brawler was buffed in the last patch

Just because his ulti isn't Vendetta doesn't mean he's bad. His ultimate is more utility than anything. A stun on one spirit, a passive burn on another, and a huge disable on the last (from vague memory).

Because you're so terrible at the game that it became legendary. We discuss this at length on the forums.

brew is probably the hardest hero to micro. Sure, meepo may have 5 guys to micro, but they are all identical. I don't even know what half of the elemental spirit's abilities do :P.

yes but keep in mind 2-5 are weaker than 1..and brew can basically run 1 away and use the other 2 without worry if he is bad/a weaker player

meepo you must make sure NONE of them die (and against some characters with a strong nuke that becomes very hard to ensure none of them are at the kill threshold)
