This game is similiar to old warcraft games right? Do they have microtransactions?

Nothing you buy impacts the game.
There are no runes like in LoL, every hero is free ( unless they change that which i highly doubt ) and the only thing you can buy from the shop are cosmetic items like new skins for your weapons/armor/courrier etc. That doesn't mean the weapon you buy from the store is better than the default one apart from the textures etc. So no it is not freemium like a facebook/android game, it's completely free :)

Well,the only microtransactions here are cosmetics,which in nothing give an advantage.A guy who spend nothing is equal to somebody who spend a lot of dosh,execpting on looks.

Yes you can both PvP and PvE ( Co-Op Vs. bots ) or simply play offline again Vs. bots.
And they only sell vanity items.

Yeah it's a MOBA/stategy game.
You could call it RPG since you choose one of the 100+ heroes and level him up/buy him items but that resets once the game is over so you have to farm again in the next game.

Yes,you get levels and buy items,but its just for the match you are in,it all resets when it ends.

Well, it's a 5v5, one-character-in-control-per-player-destroy-their-base-before-they-destroy-yours kinda war, not a full blown war RTS, it's hard to put a name to the genre... since is a single unit you control in a RTS set up with RPG leveling and a mix and match item system.

It's not a wargame. League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, DOTA, all belong to their own little genre which isn't particularly easy to define, but it involves a small group of players fighting another small group of players on an even battlefield in an attempt to destroy their opponent's base.

Phrases used for this genre are ARTS (Action Real Time Strategy) and MOBA (Massive Online Battle Arena), both of which are terrible.

Well,the most accurate term would be "Aeon of Strife Styled Fortress Assault Game Going On Two Sides",but that makes for a rather...strange acronym.
