Whole DOTA2 Map VERY dark!?!?!?

My game kept crashing last night, forcing me to delete local content and do a full reinstall today. Now today, what I'm getting is this:

As you can see, it appears as though the entire map is shaded by the fog of war. Even the places where my team mates and I have vision are EXTREMELY dark. This is not a simple brigthness setting issue either; I've turned the brightness up to maximum and it looks totally ridiculous (super-light colors, but everything is still extremely dark)

What gives!?!? Any fixes!?!?!?

PLEASE NOTE IT'S DAYTIME IN GAME TOO. ONCE NIGHT SETS IN THE GAME IS ALMOST UNPLAYABLE

Top-left 3 screenshots on my wall there are the ones I just took. You can see that where my team mates are I clearly have vision and the "fog of war" is "lifted" (as in providing me vision) but the darkness that the fog of war usually causes remains even in places where the fog of war is "lifted"

The game is almost unplayable like this.

Actually, smartass, verifying game cache didnt work and was the first thing I tried. I was forced to delete all local content and redownload DOTA2.
