How To Buy Treasure As Gift?

In the past I remember buying an treasure and then gifting it to someone before it was opened. I just bought the "Treasure of Defenders Vision" and it opened immediatly. The set then said it was untradeable until Feburary.

How do I buy a treasure and give it to a friend for Christmas without it being opened or untradeable?

They even implemented Gift Wraps, in which you cant put any new items you get from new treasure. "Well done Vavle".

i think it is only possible to gift an item, not a treasure, with the gift paper you can purchase...

i´m not 100% sure about this though, because i havent tried it yet...

The problem is cant put any of new sets (from any treasure that comes in QoP tresure), coz they are not marketable before March 15. Honestly, this makes 0 sense.

that has been done in order to get the guys, who are scamming (aka credit card foul, inventory scamemrs etc) locked down.
It has been so since months now :/

I know about that, but making a mini-event of giving gifts with Gift Wrap droping from treasure and not being able to put any of sets in it, is just purely illogical. As an example: I wanted to give my friend a set for hero he likes with gift wrap, couldnt do it. Whats the point of implementing it then?

The honest are getting punched in the face then.

Its like with the DRM. Those who pirate couldnt care less, and those, who are legit customers, cant even install the game on 2 different pc´s..

You didnt get what I mean. I mean whats the point of implementing Gift Wraps in new treasure as a drop if you cant put any of the sets that are being droped as a gift. Really makes no sense.

It is odd, you can buy gift wrap for presents although presents cant be given untill after christmas.

Have you tried buying the chest online rather than in Dota? That might work. Just Google 'Dota 2 store' and it should be the top result.

when ingame on the store you can click on the price of the item and this will let you buy it without opening. If you click on the item it will only give you the option to buy and open
