Who do you think is the worst hero in Dota 2 Atm and why?

By worst I mean someone who has almost no use other than being an extremely situational pick due to their limited skillset and attributes.

For me, it has to be Anti-mage.

For starters, he has absolutely terrible laning presence that requires an absurd amount of babysitting, or else the enemy offlaner(s) would just eat him alive, and even then he can still have trouble with harassment.

Next, is his extreme fragility, which attributes to his difficulty in lane. With only 1.2 str gain, even should he reach mid-late game, he still can be an easy target for the enemy carry to eat. Heart seems to remedy this, but thats another 5.5k item with nothing else to help AM carry.

Another reason would have to be his (almost) uselessness to his team. I get that the gist of him is to get 6 slotted before the enemy carry does, but most carries can be of use to their team with only maybe one or 2 cores. and by the time he can start being useful, his team has already lost t2s and maybe a t3(sometimes even a rax). People praise him for being good with a battlefury to flash farm, but I could do the same thing with Tiny and a frickin soul ring, an item that cost only 800 gold compared to 4350 gold for the bf(the only advantage has over that is his blink), not to mention almost any other carry outcarries him with equal farm.

And lastly the time window for anti mage to be at his peak is so small that its your either ready to rock or you lost indefinitely, basically meaning if your not 5 or 6 slotted around this time(say 28-40 mins), the enemy is ready to push and end after feeding off your 4v5 team.

So, for a hero that literally requires a great laning phase and uninterupted farm to even have an impact, I vote AM the worst hero in Dota.

Right now, Techies.

Even though I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enjoy the guy and have won games with him, he is very situational and could've been a slot filled by someone else. I only pick him when I know I can defend our base to late game and we have a carry that can make use of that late game.

You know, techies should be even better now that they pretty much reverted the kill gold/xp changes from outside of range.

Should be but because of the whole design of the hero, he fills a really niche role of counter pushing. He is the best at counter-push, true, but there are heroes that do that and are able to fight.

I wouldnt say worse in gameplay, but Oracle is such a rare pick I've only seen like 2 peeps use him effectivly. In like the 350-400 games hes been out for me to see, Ive probably only seen him like 5 times.


Also picking techies causes your team to rage and report before yo've even planted a single bomb. If the team fail they will ALWAYS blame techies, despite the fact they failed their part on the team.

(Kinda like how a selfish minded carry who is supported well in lane can farm to its hearts content, then think THEY and THEY alone were the reason for their succes.)

Don't get me started.

So, we are on high fround one time with a Medusa with Linkins and a Manta (Not sure why not Skadi, but alright) and I killed 4 of them and all that was left was a CM. All my team was alive. Guess what? I push bot lane with my land mines while they... farmed in jungle. I got their bottom tower but the enemy team's sniper got gem and Boots of Travel, so when he saw that the lane had a sign on it, he would TP to a different lane and push that.

We lost and the team said I was a noob techies.

I think Techies.
Becours he only work if the enemy play bad and run into the spots where every Techie place the Bombs.
So if he will be usless or not will show the playstile of the enemy team!

Techies relies more on what his team does.

With the fears of going into certain area because of mines, that is some great ganking and juking spots that Techies sets up. Of course, some do not use these spots so Techies becomes useless.

I just don't see why he's useless? I've won most of my Visage games, and i've seen pro's do exceptionally well with him. Unless you can describe what exactly is wrong with him that involves his skillset and role, then i think were done here.
