How do I control multiple units effectively?

Hey guys.
I really have trouble managing more than one character at a time.
I know that I can always get control over my main-character by pressing F1 key.

Now I need to go Lone Druid for the all-hero challenge....

1. Can I somehow set a key for my bear?

2. And a key to get control over all my units (Group control)?

F.e. in RTS games you can select a unit and then strg+"any key",
then you can always get control over this unit again by pressing this "any key" that you chose to assign to that unit...

Any advice on how to bind a key on my units, or is there already a default key for this which I didn´t find yet?

I am a bit ashamed to ask after 1000+ hours and a MMR of 2800 but I always avoided multiple unit heroes like Lone Druid, Meepo -and so on- because of this control issue.

yeah just go to options, controls and then at the left bottom you see ''Control groups''. control group tab allows you to switch from hero to hero withing the heroes (or units) you slideboxed,

and yes, there is a control that allows you to select your units, go to options aswell, controls and look under Unit actions (on the left), ''select all units'' and then bind a key there for example Spacebar, when you press spacebar you will select all units at once.

doesn't the tab button cycle through all your units? For lone druid, peactice by buying phase boots on both heroes and start chasing a bot while keeping both units phased as much as possible

the things i usually use with CK warlock and such ... doenst owkr for chen i guess... is holding CTRL key when issueing orders....

if you hold the ctrl key with the order. all units "including youself" will go there.. if you make a order without the CTRL key ... then oyu only move yourself.....

i usually do it like that quite normally. no need to change anything or bash buttons. just hold ctrl for bear and oyu command. and release and order stuff. if you want to move only yourself.

Thanks for all the advice and confidence.
I managed to win the "All-Hero Challenge" with Druid on my 1st game. And I even had some fun.
Although I had bought phase boots for the bear (pretty late in the game) I didn´t use them. This will have to wait for my next tries :)
