I can't receive party invites from non-friends (no message pop-up)

I noticed recently that no message pops up when someone (mostly friends whom I have not added to my friends list) invites me to a party. For example, if my friend's friend (who I don't have on my friends list) invites me via the 'invite to party' tab in-game, I do not receive the pop-up steam-message whereas if a friend from my friends list invites me, I do receive the pop-up. I have checked the dota 2 setting allowing third-parties to invite me to parties but this problem still exists.

Any help?

Check your option setting on party accept guys.. ensure that u accept party to non friends

Settings>Social> Uncheck "Block party invited from non-friends"!
