Dota 2
Can someone explain the classes?
I'm not new to Mobas and I play Smite and tried league (Hated league) and they have classes Like, Mage, Hunter, Tanks/Guardians, and assassins but Dota has Pusher, Support, Nuker, and stuff like that. Can someone explain to me each class? Thanks! :D

Pusher: Pushes towers, either by direct damage to towers with abilities/autoattacks, or by pushing the enemy creep wave easily.

Nuker: Sometimes can take people down from 100 to 0 in one spell combo (emphasis on SOMETIMES).

Durable (tank), Support and Carry should be self explanatory.

Jungler: Can usually start in the forest at level one and sustain.

Disabler: Has some kind of hard cc (stun, sleep, snare, etc.)

More like the ability to do a lot of damage in a short periode of time, regardless of farm (might need some to keep going, but usually only need levels).

just use the 1-5 system.

1 is the most item dependant hero. this can be any form of hero provided thay make the best use of gold income on your team. htis is NORMALLY a heavy rightcilcker but is doesn't have to be (tinker.)

2 is the mid. typically wants the highest early advantage to take over the mid game. sould be the temas stongest player. heroes for this role shold be nukers and gankers who are easily capable of making kill and forcing the game open, of heroes who rely hevily on a specific item timing.
the pro team E.G. has recently pioneered the stratagy of putting the 1 role mid (though I think it was a thing ~ 5-6 years ago)

3 is typically hte hero farming the hard lane. in pro matche they will be solo so their supports can better win the lanes fro the other heroes. this role relies more on exp then farm as getting in range to cs can be difficult against diligent supports.
the 3 role can also be played as an agerssive lane, withone or two supports accompning them. the aim of doing this is to ♥♥♥♥ dow the enemy 1 role.
the best offlaner's can also jungle if thins go wrong.

4 is typically the farming support. they are trying to finish item's for themselves without taking cs from their team mates. this is the second hardest role to play, most 4's simpy end up being another 5. if you have someone farming jungle, aincients or roaming then this is their position. certain heores can be played as cores from this kind of start also.

5 position has nothing, there is seldom any glod left for them. typically the best pro teams have the best supports at making money and finding farm for themselves. these guys typically buy wards.

to put it in simple terms:
1 - highest farm priority
5 - lowest farm priority

but, to answer the OP's question: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Roles
so, aside from the Carry and Support roles, the others are:
Disabler: heroes with CC
Lane Support: heroes that are good at babysitting. a support hero isn't automatically a lane support hero.
Initiator: the hero who starts the teamfights, having some form of AoE disable/nuke to help him.
Jungler: heroes who can work the jungle.
Durable: tanky heroes.
Nuker: heroes with high burst abilities.
Pusher: heroes who can push lanes and take down structures efficiently.

Not that I disagree with what you said, but I define classes as the 1-5 system and plan teamfight's based upon heroes available on the fly.

I'll happily build blink on dk and play him as an initiator if thats what the game requires.
