Best Off Laners that transition into teamfighting carries

Hey everyone,

Kinda new to DotA and ive been thinking about which hero is good for off lane which transitions well into the late game. I was thinking maybe Bristle but would appreciate some input.

Druid probbably has the best scaling of any oflaner. If you some how manage to not fmuck up Et is one of the best teamfighetrs lategame because tide can fall of a bit. generally oflaners need exp but relatively little farm, s=whic is why so many of them have little item scaling.

Visage is a decent offlaner.

The thing is, if you are new to dota, then you should probably forget about offlaning for the time being.

You see, offlaning means you go solo on the offlane while the others do a trilane on the safe lane.

You would need good map awareness as welll as a really deep knoweledge of warding spots. You would also need to develop a playing style that is different from all the other roles the game has.

If you want to play 2-1-2, then just pick a good hero and go on the lane with your teammate. The difference wont be that much compared to the easy lane.

If you want to 3-1-1 (again, you shouldnt) then some of the offlaners who transition well into late game are Bristleback and Timbersaw.
Some adviecs in the topic which are pretty bad: Lone Druid, Visage, Axe, LC, Jakiro etc etc.

the tier 1 pick, from what i've seen, is Centaur.
other flavors include: Timber, LC, Tide, Void, NP, Batrider, Jakiro, Clockwerk.
other possibilities that aren't current flavors are: AM, WR, Enigma, Veno, Undying, Ogre.

those are just from my observations though....

Timber / Tide / Dark Seer / Ranger / Buttrider ( and now riki ) are good offlane picks

Bristle / Clock are more or less ok depending on enemy team lineup and lane lineup

NP / AM / Nigma / Undying / Ogre / Void are crap solo offlaners as they need to farm so offlane is a big nono for them, even in dual lane it would depend very very much on the enemy team composition.

we are talking about different topics here.

One is of the good offlaners. That was not OP's question.
One is of offlaners who transition well into late game. That was OP's guestion.

Good offlaners include centaur, LD, timber, bristle, batrider, potm, clockwerk, nyx assassin, furion windrunner etc etc.
The thing is, soe of them wont trantision well into late game if played on the offlane.

Offlaners who transition well are bristle and timber, for example.

Visage is not a good offlaner. He probaby wont die on the offlane but that doesnt make him a good offlaner as he cannot do anything besides just sitting there.
A good offlaner either distrupts the safe carry's farm or can do things once they reach lvl6. Visage is neither.

Finally, I would advice against LD and furion offlane unless you are really skilled OP, since they are REALLY hard to play correctly.

yeah except visage has 290 movespeed and negative armor. I dont care if he has ranged attacks and a 30% movepeed buff, he can't manfight anyone.

well he has a great slow and a couple layers of that armor stuff
means he is hard to kill 1 on 1
but any good trilane will chainstun him, he has no eascape
so yeah
