Because there is a tag for you to read
Doesnt mean it has to be that way
Look at most succesful item there are Daedalus with 70% winrate and Assualt Cuirass as 74 %
and you still tell me you want to play him as support
Dont get me wrong dude you can play sven as support but It would be more super fun as carry sven
doesn't mean I can't try it
assault cuirass is occasionally picked up by rich supports
I play support 90% of the time but occasionally in really long games supports become less useful so Sven's transition will make useful then
See how annoying this is too read btw?
I agree with him. Support sven is cool, but he shines more at hard carrying. Plus his mana pool is really suck for him to support.
I tried that not long time ago
My best 3 heroes are Dazzle, Silencer and Lion. So basiclly I'm a supporter
You want to play support sven for like 10 games and suddenly realize that " oh I should have go carry "
Be my guest man
The thing is that I enjoy support a lot more but want to try a hero that transitions from support to carry. Sven seems like a good hero for this cause I'm not an alc fan.
Blink Dagger as the first core item is a must as an initiator.
Agh's is a lategame support item for him.
you can get Arcane Boots, but if someone else already got it, just get Treads.
really, all he needs is a Blink Dagger as a support, other items allow him to transition into a late game carry (thus allowing 4 cores)
Sigh... If you'd actually read my post you'd read that I want to learn it, so whether it's good or bad I'll decide later. I support a ton but don't carry much so Sven would be a good one to try. I don't care if you think it's a weird idea. Some weird ideas work better that the 'normal' ones. I never said "Sven is support and nothing else!" but you are saying that he's only carry which isn't true either. What does it matter that I want to try support Sven in bots first and then in pub matches? It's been done so it's not impossible. You need to loosen up a bit cause some heroes can be played in more than 1 way, even if some ways work better than others in certain situations.
other items that would work on support Sven are Urn and Medallion.
also, to note, a support Sven works best as a roaming support, setting up kills around the map.
if he's so ignorant and close minded that he can't even think that support Sven won't work, then let him.
it's not gonna change the fact that Sven makes a decent support.
Then you must build the right way for him to support. I'm not sure about the build, but if you really wanna go support with him, imho :
1. Max 1st and 3rd skill, and ult
2. Take/max stats instead of cleave (take cleave last, since you are not carrying, stats are more important for your mana need)
3. Mana boots, drums (important! if no one build this), blink dagger.
Basically this :
>chimera guard - wait wut? you mean crimson guard?
But max stats instead of cleave. Stats is much more important than cleave if you go support with him.

This was the last match that I use sven as tanker
other team line up will give you idea how much pain and agony to play in this match
Doom was in jungle all game, NVM mid failed then farm later all game, Rubick well he just ward and fade bolt to steal money from carry.
My point is you can go support if you like. How about late game if your carry cant farm ?
You will have support item with high DPS when you activated godmode but no ATK speed anyways.
If the replay system is not ruined you will see in the game that I tank all game for other carry to get their kill
I'm a noob sup sven
so what ?
