the question about [[ DEADLOCK ]]
After the release of valve's new multiplayer game deadlock, do you think dota2 will lose a huge player count?

Dota has already lost players to Deadlock
https://steamcharts.com/app/570
Deadlock currently has 10-30k players right now exact negative number lost from Dota 2

They are releasing it because they see they are losing dota like they lost all other games.
From what I understand, they're trying to merge all the past games and mess it up again because Valve's priority isn't matchmaking, fighting smurfs, etc. The game will gain players pretty quickly, but will lose them just as quickly.

Valve is spending ♥♥♥♥ ton of money and resources on DeadLock especially organic sorry guerrilla marketing and has their own forum

Few months ago it was buggy and trash now less buggy compared to Dota 2
Valve wants this project to succeed badly but like you have said Deadlock will have same fate as Dota 2 with early uprising to meh game

Reborn history will repeat itself in this game as well. The company's approach to development is the same in every game they do. They'll pretty quickly make a sandwich of patches without refactoring that will ruin it too. This cycle will be repeated over and over again. The company only cares about the quality of the product at the initial stage, which is sad. But since the company has no proper matchmaking or anti-smurfing system, early quality is out of the question.

So, I guess the reason for the decrease in the quality of the games in the last two weeks is the count drop in players
