Outworld Devourer Counter(s)?

I cannot beat this guy. If you could suggest any heroes or items that counter him, please let me know.

Razor

Use Static Link judiciously when he tries to drain your Int and proceed to hurt him when you are out of it

In lane razor is good. In the rest of the game Nyx is a hard counter and otherwise bursty heroes will do the trick.

BKB is my bane. However, i have only seen someone use it once against me and then Omni ran up to me and killed me. I couldn't trap him and then flee.

What makes him fairly easy to counter besides Pugna and Nyx? Juggernaut's omnislash would be a good attack if Jugg had blink daggers.

Laned mid against Razor me with OD. He leveled up Unstable Current to the max, every time I imprisoned him he sapped and slowed me, and ended up doing more damage than the benefit of stealing his intel. Plus he's a right clicker, and his skills are cheap so there's a moment I can't keep imprisoning him withought getting rekt. And he does literally nothing to counter you, just his passive.

Void. There was this round where I was way ahead of the enemy team level-wise, but their Void always managed to get me by surprise on the team fights and ult, and eventually they won. I would say he's a damn good counter to OD.

Razor is nice against OD, as OD gets zapped by Razor's passive every time he tries to steal int. If I remember right, it also either prevents you from losing int or him from gaining it.

That would be pretty cool. Looks like I should definitely try out Razor against him in the future.

I agree with the sheepstick, but bkb isn't as effective since his arcane orb is pure damage, which is frustrating. Thank you for the feedback though!

Yeah Pugna and nyx really wreck his day. Try one of these. You just have to make sure you have that nether ward down and basically OD can do nothing in teamfights until he has a bkb. Pugna also does OK mid against OD to start with. TA is also not bad, as he has no way of removing refraction quickly, you just have to make sure you don't let him take too much of your intel.

u have not played against good players. also doesn't matter how many people(or smurfs) agree with your or i, too many things easily out fight him and counter him. there is much more broken stuff that is much harder to counter than OD. In fact quite a few things can easily shut OD down, like alot.

Thanks man! I didn't have a great understanding of how nether ward worked until now, but now that I do it sounds amazing for OD.

Yes, as long as OD continues to sit within link range you will steal his damage even when you are Imprisoned. (Note this also works for Shadow Demon's Disrupt)

As what Mokoran has mentioned you also have Unstable Current which will damage and slow him everytime he attempts to Imprison you. If OD attempts to just orb you, link him and hit him back harder
