Checking the Ping of Others
While everyone is still loading into a match (connecting-phase), the game is "Safe to Leave" with a minor penalty restricting a player from matchmaking. The first time you do this, you recieve a 3:00 minute ban, then a 10:00 minute ban. The third penalty I believe is half an hour, then (?) 1 full hour.

During the connecting-phase, you may open your console ( the ` key ) and type "ping". This will show you all the current pings of both teams. The importance of this is the ability to better predict whether you'll win or not. Many times I will solo queue, and get paired with small teams of outlanders (people who don't play on their own server) so I will quit the game before Hero-Selection.

I wish that the penalty for leaving during the connecting-phase could somehow be reworked! I really don't want to have to play 45~ minutes of a losing match because of the poor internet connection of others.

Thank you for reading.

Also: You can type "-ping" in the chat to quickly see your own ping and packet loss.

But thanks for the info m8!
